This session will develop a delegate’s understanding of the key stages involved in dealing with service charges and the recovery of costs.

Learning points will include:

  • The lease, it’s impact and the consultation process
  • Understanding Qualifying Long Term Agreements
  • What delegates need to do at each stage – who should consult? And who must be consulted?
  • Notices – how many? when? And what should you account for?


Ben will deliver this training session on behalf of SEC. Ben is a partner in Pennington Manches Cooper’s real estate litigation team and represents a range of clients including landlords, tenants and developers. He provides comprehensive advice on residential property issues to include rent and service charge disputes in the First Tier Tribunal.
