3 December 2020 - London

The session will explore different contract forms and the initial considerations delegates should make when procuring a repairs and maintenance/asset management contract. And, has been designed to really make a difference to the way delegates manage their contracts on the ground.

20 & 26 January 2021 - London

This is a two day course which delves more deeply into the legal and operational nitty gritty of running asset management contracts. The training will use the JCT Measured Term Contract as it’s base and will look specifically at how delegates can practically manage contracts on the ground to ensure that it performs well.

17 February 2021 - London

This interactive session will be hosted by Rebecca Rees from Trowers & Hamlins. The morning session will cover an overview of public procurement, the regulations, OJEU procurements and a trip through the legal framework. In the afternoon the legal experts will explore their top 10 tactical tips to achieving intelligent procurements which fit your organisation and objectives.

13-15 Oct 2020 - Virtual
3 March 2021 - London

This interactive session will be hosted by Rebecca Rees from Trowers & Hamlins. The day will focus on procurement strategy as a whole package. Delegates will explore how they can utilise intelligent procurement practices to ensure the resulting contract performs well and works for you and your organisation.

3 November 2020 - virtual session

This session will develop a delegate’s understanding of the key stages involved in dealing with service charges and the recovery of costs.

30 November 2020 - virtual session

This advanced session will delve deeper into the consultation process with an emphasis on “smart procurement”. It’s designed to really make a difference to colleagues running procurement exercises which include consultation under Section 20. The day-long course will be practice focused and will include advice on how to utilise S.20 when procuring through a framework. We’ll also look at how poor S.20 consultation can negatively affect an urgent procurement.

8 December 2020 - Ebbsfleet, Kent

Building on the success of last year’s Disrepair training, we’ve worked with Capsticks LLP to deliver another session 10 months on…Clive and the team will look at the technical & legal implications of disrepair claims, new case law and since legislation came into full effect on 20 March 2020.

8 Feb 2021 - London

We’ve partnered with Trowers & Hamlins to design this bespoke session for our network.
Do you get the impression there is only one approach to TUPE? Do you know how to take advantage of recent case-law? We’ll look at common TUPE challenges and the experts at Trowers will explore their practical advice on how to overcome them. This session has been designed to ensure your organisations approach to TUPE is fit for the future. The day’s training will be supply chain orientated and also will look at employment and pensions in the post-Covid world.

12 January 2021 - London

This session will look at the future of housing delivery in the public sector. The legal experts from Trowers and Hamlins will explore the common problems faced by RPs in terms of development agreements, obligations and delivery structures. Delegates will explore how they can adapt their practices, deliver their organisation’s development programme and provide sufficient new homes where they are most needed.

Wednesday 24 February - Virtual session

Soon we’ll see amendments to building regulations, a new Fire Safety Act and a new regime for building safety. These changes will affect all stages of a building’s life-cycle – from procurement to design to construction and into its occupation. To help you prepare to face the changes ahead we’ve teamed up with Mark London of Devonshires to deliver an exclusive training session.
