Our Technical Services Manager has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the construction sector and within housing in particular having been involved in a large ALMO at Head of Service level.

Using this experience and the skills gained he is able to help with a number of items to get you ‘procurement ready’ including:

Specification support

The production of the specification is the responsibility of the client and some clients have all this in hand ready for procurement. However, where a client does not have this ready and wants a helping hand to write a specification to meet their procurement aims we can assist with this. This ranges from a meeting with our Technical Services Manager to help the client write their specification or it can include SEC employing the services of a consultant to complete the specification for the client. In addition to this SEC can facilitate this service for bespoke procurements outside our frameworks.

Cost model support

In a similar way to the specification works it is the responsibility of the client to prepare a price model for procurement purposes and some clients have all this in hand ready for procurement. However, where a client does not have this ready and wants a helping hand to develop a price model that is fit for purpose our Technical Services Manager can help by reviewing the proposed pricing model or employing the services of a consultant to develop the pricing model. This can range from commenting on the model prepared by the client to developing a whole new model.

Other advice

Our Technical Services Manager is able to advise, from an operational perspective, on how to comply with Section 20 consultation, comment on contractual terms within contracts and how to approach the production of technical documents to meet the aims and objectives of the client organisation.
