HCA Supports SEC's New Build and Refurbishment Framework Tender
November 24, 2011
A number of our members have been awarded funding from the HCA’s Affordable Homes Programme to build new homes and refurbish existing buildings. As a result we are looking to appoint a number of contractors – small and large - to a framework to provide SEC members with a group of contractors who can carry out their new build and refurbishment programmes. These programmes will be in the South East. This framework will also be available for new build schemes outside the HCA’s Affordable Homes Programme.
Richard Hill, Director of Programmes and Deputy Chief Executive, HCA said:
"The HCA wants to work with Investment Partners in lowering costs and adding value in affordable housing construction. A focus on cost matters throughout programme delivery, not just ahead of contract signing. We encourage Investment Partners to look at the benefits of working with the sectors' procurement organisations and their innovations, such as SEC's new newbuild framework, and to adopt these where they offer gains.”
